our Story

Aubry and Jake’s story has always followed the spirit of the tortoise and the hare: never rushed, always steady, and somehow better for taking the long way. They met in 2018 at the University of Texas at Austin and went on their first date that December, but life quickly carried them in different directions. Jake moved to Seattle and Aubry stayed in Austin to continue her studies, so it took time before they officially became a couple. By the time they were both living in Austin again, they had only a few months together before COVID arrived, which turned out to be the perfect moment to hunker down, adopt a puppy, and move in together. They stayed in Austin, finished their degrees, and started to build their careers until finally, in 2024, Jake had the great idea to propose. But instead of diving into wedding planning, they followed another adventure - moving to Oregon and buying a house together. Now, after two years of treading life’s winding path, it’s finally time to tie the knot.

For Aubry and Jake there’s never been a rush to reach the next chapter, because from the moment their forever began eight years ago, life together has been a certainty. It’s just time to make it official!
